High Frequency Helical Non-Serrated (Solid) Finned Pipes

Non-Serrated finned pipes are used mainly for heat recovery equipment associated with boilers, gas turbines in power generation equipment and furnaces in petrochemical, refining and processing operations.

They distribute heated air efficiently within heat recovery equipment to help maximize the effectiveness of the recovery application.

The fin in helical solid finned pipes is a metal strip that is helically wound around a pipe, forming a channel around the pipe.  The strip is welded to the pipe, using high frequency electrical resistance welding (HFRW).  This joins the metals together in a low-heat process, providing a secure, corrosion-resistant bond between dissimilar metals.  HFRW is faster than GMAW welding, produces a more consistent weld, is effective welding dissimilar metals and reduces the need for heat treating the finished product.

Our high quality helical solid finned pipes are custom manufactured to your exact specifications.
