Duplex & Super Duplex

Duplex steels are such steels that have a two-phase structure of ferritic and austenitic portions. As a result, The characteristics of chromium and chromium nickel steels are combined. Duplex steels therefore show a higher strength than austenitic steels. At the same time, They are characterised by a higher ductility.

The difference between Super Duplex Steels and Standard Duplex is the higher portion of chromium, Nickel and Molybdenum. It is characterised by a particularly high corrosion resistance and high strength. Super Duplex Steel is therefore suitable for demanding fields of application such as the desalination of seawater.

Please find below an overview of the duplex steels available at Krystal Global Engineering Limited.
